CERTIFICATE OF LIFETIME WARRANTY

A Better Deal Air Conditioning and Heating (“ABD”), Inc. hereby extends to the original purchaser of the products listed below, a warranty measured by the LIFETIME of the original purchaser, against defective workmanship and/or material defects.

This warranty terminates on the transfer of the product from the original purchaser, or on the death of the original purchaser, whichever comes first.

To obtain warranty service the original purchaser must contact ABD, which will respond in accordance with its normal 24-7 service policy at no charge to the owner.

It is a condition of warranty service under this Limited Warranty that the product be maintained by A Better Deal on a semi-annual basis.  ABD will contact the owner in the spring and in the fall to schedule routine maintenance in preparation for the upcoming heating or cooling season as the case may be.  The charge for this service will be $89.95 plus the cost of the air filter, which the owner may provide at his own expense, or ABD will provide it at cost and charge the owner. The fee for maintenance will not be increased while this warranty is effective.

ABD will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any part of the equipment that is deemed defective. This warranty covers labor and materials, service calls and charges and mileage fees, but does not cover cleaning of the coils.

In the event of a defect, malfunction or failure, the warrantor will, at his discretion, either repair or replace the warranted product. Malfunction or failure caused by external forces or otherwise insured or insurable events are not covered by this warranty.  This is a warranty of product performance and freedom from defects.  It is not an insurance policy or residential service contract.

The warranty provided here is in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty, which has been provided to purchaser.   The owner must, as a condition of this supplemental warranty, perform all acts necessary to register or preserve the manufacturer’s warranty, as ABD will, at its option, be entitled to assert owner’s rights under the manufacturer’s warranty before ABD is required to repair or replace any warranted product under ABD’s own lifetime warranty.

The owner’s failure to keep current on the semi-annual maintenance program will void this lifetime parts and service warranty, but will not affect the manufacturer’s warranty.
